V. MUTHU KUMARAN

Managing Partner

Mr. V. Muthu Kumaran obtained his LLB from the University of London in 1998. Prior to legal practise, he gained vast experience and knowledge in respect of insurance claims as an adjuster at Mc Larens Saksama (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd from 1998 till 2000 under the Medio-Legal Consultancy Unit and Third Party Bodily Injury Departments respectively.

During this period, he was exposed to various aspects of insurance claims arising out of medical negligence cases and third party bodily injury claims.

In 2001, he commenced his pupillage in the Chambers of Mr. T. Tharumarajah at Messrs Azim, Tunku Farik & Wong and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 11th April 2002. Thereafter, he was retained as a Legal Assistant in the Motor Department and mainly focused on matters relating to personal injury claims and other aspects of insurance claims pertaining to fire, public liability and workmen compensation.

In 2007, he formed his own practice and is heading the insurance and civil department. He is currently in his 16 years of practice.

MOHD TAHRIL BIN JAMIA’AN

Partner

Mohd Tahril obtained his LLB (Hons) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2008.

In 2009, he commenced his pupillage in the Chambers of Mr. Anantharajah Shanmugam at Messrs Azim, Tunku Farik & Wong and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 13th November, 2009. Thereafter, he was retained as a Legal Assistant in the Motor Department and mainly focusing on matters relating to personal injury claims and other aspects of insurance claims pertaining to fire, public liability and workmen compensation.

In 2011, he joined this firm as an Associate specialising in motor insurance claims relating to personal injury claims. Thereafter, in April 2012, he joined in as a Partner. He is also involved in the operation of the insurance litigation department.

He is now in his 9th years of practice.

VINOBHA VELAPPAN

Partner

Ms. Vinobha Velappan obtained her LLB from the University of London.

In 1999, Vinobha Velappan commenced her pupillage in the Chambers of Mr. T. Kuhanandanat at Messrs Badri, Kuhan Yeoh & Ghandi and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 25th August 2000. Thereafter, she was retained as a Legal Assistant in the Banking Department and mainly focused on matters relating to banking matters and civil litigation. she then joined Messrs SL Chin & Mahathir in April 2001 as Litigation Legal Assistant where she headed the Litigation Department. She was mainly involved in civil litigation ranging from banking, bankruptcy, foreclosure, winding up and family law matters.

She then joined Messrs. Lim Soh & Goonting in March 2004 and became Senior Litigation Legal Assistant. She gained vast experience in recovery proceedings, conveyancing, foreclosure, summary judgments and winding up proceedings.

In 2015, she joined this firm as a Partner specialising in various civil matters and family law matters.

SAROJAH SUKUMAR

Senior Legal Assistant

Ms.Sarojah Sukumar obtained her LLB(Hons) from National University of Malaysia in 2008.

In 2008, she commenced her pupillage in the Chambers of Mr.Bala Subramaniam at Messrs Bala & Co. and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 29th May 2009. Thereafter, she was retained as a Legal Assistant carrying out general litigation focusing on matters relating to civil and criminal litigation. She then joined Messrs A.Rahim & Co in 2009 as Legal Assistant focusing on banking, civil and criminal litigation as well. in 2011, she joined Messrs S N Fam & Co. leading their Johor Bahru branch as Senior Legal Assistant carrying out matters related to motor insurance claims relating to personal injury.

in May 2018, she joined this firm as a Senior Legal Assistant specialising in motor insurance claims relating to personal injury.

She is now on her 9th year of practise.

ALINA SHAZLEEN BINTI MOHD ZANIL

Legal Assistant

Alina Shazleen obtained her LL.B (Hons) in 2010 and LL.M (Syariah) (Hons) IN Administration of Islamic Law in 2014 respectively from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

In 2011, Alina Shazleen commenced her pupillage in the Chambers of Ms. Sazira Binti Abdul Aziz at at Messrs. Azman Sazira & Partners and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 6th April 2012.

In May 2012, Alina Shazleen joined this firm as an Associate specialising in motor insurance claims relating to personal injury claims and syarie matters.

DANIEL BIN OTHMAN

Legal Assistant

Daniel graduated from Northern University Of Malaysia (UUM) in 2013 with LL.B (Hons).

Thereafter, he commenced his pupillage in Chambers of Lawrnee A/L Gnanapragasam at Rahim & Lawrnee. On 2nd of October 2014, he was admitted as an advocate and solicitors of High Court of Malaya.

In January 2015, he joined this firm as an Associate specialising in motor insurance claims relating to personal injury, property damage, criminal matters and family law.

NURUL AFIQAH BINTI MOHD NOH

Legal Assistant

Nurul Afiqah graduated from University Of Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2016 with LL.B (Hons).

Thereafter, she commenced her pupillage in our firm. On 22nd of December 2016, she was admitted as an advocate and solicitors of High Court of Malaya.

In January 2017, she joined this firm as a Legal Assistant specialising in motor insurance claims relating to personal injury, property damage and industrial relation matters.

SUGANTHY A/P KUNASEKARAN

Legal Assistant

Suganthy graduated from University Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Terengganu in 2016 with LLB(Hons)

Thereafter, she commenced her pupilage in our firm. On 19th of April 2018, she was admitted as an advocate and solicitors of High Court of Malaya.

In June 2018, she joined this firm as a Legal Assistant specialising in motor insurance claims relating to personal injury and property damage matters.
